Experts warn of mass devastation if magnitude 6.3 quake strikes Taipei

The director-general of a civil engineers association supports an earthquake warning given by Interior Minister Lee Hong-yuan. Lee turned heads on Monday when he said that a magnitude 6.3 earthquake in Taipei would cause widespread damage. This building is less than 30 years old and it already shows signs of problems due to nearby construction, including large cracks in the wall.
